Today in Class 1, we did so many fun things! We did an origami craft where the children folded cute light purple cats. Yesterday, we got a letter from The Snowman. So, we went to Kitakaze Park and played games with The Snowman and his animal friends: an elephant, a giraffe, and a lion. The children gave the animals candy and since the animals were happy, they gave everyone tangerines! After playtime and sledding in the park, we came back to our classroom. Since it’s almost Setsubun, we discovered that an ogre had stolen our tangerines. The children put on their ogre masks and got soybeans ready, then an ogre came. Class 1, 2, and 3 children all threw beans at him until he ran away and gave our tangerines back. The children ate their lunchboxes and had the tangerines for dessert. It was such a happy Friday!
