• 2018.05.31First ICEC for 2018

  

  Mr Thomas and Mr Ian enjoyed catching up with some parents today and speaking English with them. Although the wet weather made us unable to enjoy the planned stroll in Maruyama park, we could stay dry and enjoy time together over a coffee nearby. We all talked about our hobbies and things we like to do in our free time. From music to gardening to cooking or TV it was interesting to learn what we all like to do with our free time and how to make things.
  A big thank you to all that came and we hope to see more people at our next ICEC.

• 2018.05.30Today’s Class 1

  

  Today in Class 1 we had lots of fun! We enjoyed play time with Class 2, before having our Morning Meeting. Today was a short day but full of fun activities. We had exercise time, followed by helping Eddie, the Class 1 puppet, to pack his suitcase with warm clothes for his trip to Australia tomorrow. The children could each ask and answer the question, “Which is hotter?” before choosing between which clothes to put in Eddies suitcase, “This one is hotter!” We also learnt about our Evacuation Boxes, by checking what is inside and what to do if we hear the Emergency Alarm before we have our Emergency Drill on Friday. We still had enough time to check on our tomato plants in the IYK garden and give them some water on this hot sunny day, before going to the school gate to see our mummies and go home! Well done everyone and see you all tomorrow for swimming!

• 2018.05.29Birthday Party

  

  今日は、５月生まれのお子さまのBirthday Partyでした。４月のBirthday partyをお休みしてしまったお子さまも交えて１４人のお子さま達がピアノに合わせて元気に入場してきました。初めてのBirthday Partyでちょっぴり緊張していた年少さん。たくさんのお友達にお祝いされて嬉しさいっぱいの年中さん。しっかりと大きな声で名前と歳を言うことができたかっこいい年長さん。Birthday songのプレゼントの後には、クラスの友達からのプレゼントタイム。プレゼントを渡す役に任命されたお子さまは、張り切って前へ出てきました。全園児の“Happy birthday!”の言葉でプレゼントを渡すと、嬉しそうに受け取っていた５月生まれのお子さま達でした。そして、今日の先生からのプレゼントは、“イグアナレストラン”という楽しいお料理屋さんのお話でした。イグアナさんのレストランに次々とやってくる動物達。アイスやホットケーキ、スパゲッティをごちそうしてもらい大喜びで帰っていきました。最後は、動物達がみんなでイグアナさんの２００歳の誕生日と５月生まれのお友達にケーキをつくってくれました！

• 2018.05.28Today’s Rabbit Class

  

  今日のラビットクラスはMusic Lessonがありました。安江先生と一緒にカスタネットをしたり、アリさんの歌をお母さまとうたったり、とっても楽しかったですね。カスタネットでは、左の手の一番長い指にゴムを付けることを教えてもらい、自分の指を眺めて「中指」を一生懸命に探す姿はとても可愛らしかったです。朝の発見活動では、お母さまと離れて、自分の好きな遊びや興味のある遊びを楽しむことができるようになったRabbitさん。親子で一緒に傍らにいて遊ぶ時は、限られた貴重な時間です。この貴重な時間を有意義に過ごし、親子での楽しい思い出をたくさんつくってくださいね。一日、一日と成長している可愛い、可愛いRabbitさんが、この次はどんな顔を見せてくれるのでしょうか。また、水曜日に会えるのを楽しみに待っています。

• 2018.05.26Special Saturday①

  

  Today was the first special saturday of 2018. The theme was spring and Easter. The children played on the first floor and could learn about easter. The children met the easter bunny and could help him get his eggs back. The wolf had taken them away and hidden them around the school. All the children could complete all the challenges and get the eggs back to the bunny. They did a very good job and the easter bunny gave them a present to colour in. It was very nice to see everyone speaking a lot of English and everyone could enjoy easter.

• 2018.05.25Today’s Koala Class

  

  Everyone in Koala Class had lots of fun today! Everyone arrived and played together during Discovery Time, then we had a Morning Meeting. Koala Class children are doing so well remembering what to say and do for meetings each day. We had an English activity where the Zoo Keeper came to IYK, but had no animals in his zoo. Along came a boat filled with zebras and hippos, and the children helped put the animals in the zoo or back in the boat. Everyone did a good job answering “Yes, I do” or “No, I don’t” when asked, “Do you like hippos?” When the zoo was filled up we sang and danced together. After packed lunch we pretended to go on a picnic, mimicking various animals along the way and watching out for bears. Finally, all the children practiced doing forward rolls on the mat before singing and dancing to Hot Potato! See you next week!

• 2018.05.24年長 グループ活動

  

  今日は、年長組３回目のグループ活動でした。１２時半になるとグループカードを持ってそれぞれの場所へ移動。一輪車グループは、前回に引き続きバーにつかまりながらバランスをとる練習を続けました。少しずつ感覚をつかんできてほんの少し進めるようにもなってきました。縄跳びグループは、２本の縄を2人で一緒に持ち、トンネルにしたりゆらゆらさせたりと、縄を使っていろいろな遊びを楽しみました。一人跳びでは、両足を揃えてリズムよく跳ぶポイントに気を付けながら、たくさん跳べるように一生懸命なお子さま達。最後は音楽に合わせて跳ぶことを楽しみました。そして、竹馬グループは前回まではポックリの活動だったので、今日は初めての本物の竹馬での活動になりました。先生に支えてもらいながら、一歩一歩前へ進み竹馬の感覚をつかみました。４０分の活動を終えクラスに戻ったお子さま達は、「今日も楽しかった！」「今度も頑張る！」と次回の活動にも期待いっぱいの様子でした。

• 2018.05.23Today’s class 9

  

  今日は午前教育でした。Morning Meetingでかっこ良くTeacher’s Assinstantsをして、聞いているみんなもしっかり話が聞けていました。「How the weather today?」の質問に対して、今日の天気を元気に発表している様子です。メインの活動はかずプリント。今日で5月最後のページでした。長さ比べをして、11～60までの数字を書いていきました。頑張って10枚やりきって嬉しそうなClass9でした。たくさん丸がついてよかったね！

• 2018.05.22年少組　トマトの苗植え

  

  今日は年少組でトマトの苗植えをしました。苗を植える前に、年少組全員で野菜が元気に育つためにはどのようなものが必要かというクイズに挑戦しました。クイズを通して、野菜が大きくなるためには太陽の光や水が必要なことを知ったお子さま達。クイズを全て答え終わると、そこにやってきたのは”Mr. Vegetable”！Mr. Vegetableからはトマトの苗と、野菜が大きく育つために必要なマジックワード「Grow grow grow」を教えてもらいました。その後は早速、菜園に行ってMr.Vegetableからもらったトマトの苗を植え、元気いっぱいに「Grow grow grow」と両手をかざしながらパワーを送る可愛らしいお子さま達の姿が見られました。収穫は8月の予定です。美味しいトマトができるといいですね。

• 2018.05.21年少合同茶話会～父母の会より～

  

  5月21日（月）父母会主催の年少合同茶話会が宮の森フランセス教会内のフランセス・キッチンで行われました。園からは恵美先生、Mr.Chrisがご参加くださり、総勢40名、お子様7名にお集まりいただきました。恵美先生、Mr.Chris、父母会会長の挨拶から始まり、その後自己紹介とテーマ（お子様の習いごと、または今後習わせてみたいこと）をお話していただき、会食がスタートとなりました。終始和やかな雰囲気の中で、話も弾み賑やかな様子で楽しいひと時を過ごすことができました。初めての園生活ということで、年間行事の様子をDVDで見ていただき、ハロウィンパーティーと表現フェスティバルの衣装を展示いたしました。そして記念撮影後、閉会の挨拶となりました。「楽しかった」「普段話せないお母様達と交流できて良かった」「園行事の様子が分かって良かった」などのご意見をいただきました。ご参加いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました。
