Koala Class trip to the zoo
Today the Koala Class went to Maruyama Zoo. The weather was perfect for an outing and all the children and parents seemed to enjoy seeing many animals. We were lucky to see many animals like the hippo, lions, and zebras active in their enclosures. Everyone could walk all the way to see the polar bears too. We even got to watch the baby polar bear swim! During the first half of our field trip, the Koala children completed a sticker rally. They were able to say animal names like “monkey” or even full sentences like “I see a monkey,” and then receive a sticker from their parents. We stopped and had snacks along the way and then finished by seeing the bears, seals, and penguins. It was great to see the animals together and I enjoyed talking with children and parents outside of the classroom. Thank you, everyone for coming along!
