• 2020.07.31キッズワールド～Special craft①～

  

  　いよいよ夏休みがスタートしましたね。今日は夏休みのキッズワールドでのお子さま達の様子をお伝えします。午前中は、眩しい日差しの中、園庭で水遊びを行いました。例年は、水着に着替えて園庭に設置したプールで水遊びを行っていたところを、コロナウイルス感染予防のため実施できず、服を着たままでの活動になりましたが、じょうろ、ピストル型の水鉄砲や巨大な鉛筆型の水鉄砲、水風船など様々なアイテムを使って思い切り水遊びを楽しんでいました。中には「気持ちよすぎる～」と自分の体めがけて水鉄砲を噴射する人がいたりと、びしょ濡れになりながらも大満足のお子さま達でしたよ。午後は、Special craftで年少組は『魚』、年中組は『いか』と『たこ』、年長組は『くじら』をクレヨンと絵の具のはじき絵で表現しました。クレヨンの模様も絵の具の色も好きな色を自由に選択してもらうと、「くじらって青いから絶対水色にする！」「そうだよね！」と、物知りの年長組からは水色くじらが人気でしたが、赤のいかや黄緑のたこ、オレンジの魚などカラフルな生き物たちでいっぱいの海が完成しましたよ！

• 2020.07.29Closing Ceremony

  

  Today was the last day of the first term at IYK. It was a half day, but everybody had tons of fun while we were here. The closing ceremony was split into three separate groups. As the children filed into the Kids World room to sit down, we could see how nicely the children were sitting, and they could pay attention very well. We reflected on the term, and how much the children have progressed, as well as introduced the Junior friends to Enchou-sensei’s motto of “Early to bed. Early to rise. Greet cheerfuly. Eat breakfast.” Everyone is looking forward to summer vacation, and we hope that everyone can have a safe and fun time over the holidays. Have a great time, and see you next term!

• 2020.07.28Today in Class 1

  

  Class 1 had a very busy day today. It was the last full day of the term so we wanted to have as much fun as possible. In the morning we played together with Class 2. After our Morning Meeting and phonics practice, we made a sunflower craft with paper plates. Everyone did a great job coloring the center of the flower and using glue to add flower petals. After we made sunflowers, we had Super Clean Up. Everyone helped to make the Class 1 classroom very clean. And they enjoyed using towels to slide around on the floor as they cleaned! After cleaning, we went to the park. On the way to the park we stopped in the garden to check on our tomato plants. Many of the tomatoes have started to turn red! They have gotten much bigger, and everyone is excited for them to finish growing. It was hot and bright outside, but luckily it was cloudy. At the park we saw many animals, such as worms, bees, butterflies, and pigeons. Everyone enjoyed looking for wildlife and identifying the different animals. After the park, we came back to school for lunch. Everyone was tired, but they enjoyed their lunch, and we played before going home. Sadly, tomorrow is Closing Ceremony, but we hope everyone has a wonderful summer vacation.

• 2020.07.27Today’s Class 8

  

  今日のClass8は、ベルのレッスンを行いました。ベルが大好きな8組さんは、お部屋でもベルの曲である「Tomorrow」を口ずさんでおり、久しぶりのベルのレッスンにもやる気満々。何度も繰り返し練習するうちにどんどん上達し、最初から最後まで通して演奏できるようになりました♪レッスンのあとは、虹色の魚のCraftを行いました。先週の水曜日にはじき絵でつくったお魚を切り、オリジナルの虹色の魚が完成しました♪「カラフルで可愛いね！」「お魚の赤ちゃんもつくったよ。」と自分が工夫したところや友達の素敵なところを共有しながら楽しんで取り組んでいましたよ。Lunchの前は、8組さんが大好きなゲームの時間です。今日は、フルーツバスケットとかえるジャンプリレーを行いました！中でも動物になりきるリレーが大好きで、「今度はスパイダーリレーがいいな！」「ワンちゃんリレーも楽しそう！」とアイディアを出し合っていましたよ。1学期も残すところあと2日となりましたが、みんなで楽しく遊びましょうね♪

• 2020.07.22年長グループ活動

  

  今日も年長組では、一輪車、竹馬、縄跳びのチームに分かれて行うグループ活動がありました。今日は1学期最後の練習日。それぞれのチームで上達が見られ、「今日も頑張るぞ！」と、やる気は十分でした。一輪車のグループでは、少しずつ手放しで乗れるようになったお子さまが増えて、ジグザグ乗りなど、技に挑戦しています。縄跳びのグループは、走り跳びなど、いろいろな跳び方に挑戦しています。竹馬グループでも、補助のヒールをとって乗ることができるようになってきました。2学期には、グループ活動の発表会があります。夏休み明けに、またみんなで頑張りましょうね！

• 2020.07.21Today’s Class 9

  

  今日も元気に登園していたClass 9。天気予報が雨だということを知ると、「今日は外遊びできるかな？」と、窓の外を眺める姿が見られました。クラスで行った絵の具遊びでは、提灯お化けの模様を絵の具で塗りました。まず画用紙に透明な水を塗ってから、絵の具で色付けすることを知ると、「いつもと違う！」「どんなふうになるんだろう？」と興味津々。水ににじんで絵の具が混ざりあったり、画用紙にじわじわと広がっていく様子を見ると、「綺麗！」と大喜びでした。明日は模様を付けた画用紙を切って、お化けを完成させるのが楽しみですね！午後からは大好きなEnglish lessonがありました。タクシードライバーとお客さんになりきって”Where will you go?”質問したり、”I will go swimming！”と答えながらいろいろな場所に行くことを楽しみました。レッスンの後は、園庭で鬼ごっこやサッカー、一輪車をして遊びました。体を思いきり動かして、「楽しかったー!」と大満足の様子のお子さま達でした。明日はグループ活動があります。楽しみにしていてくださいね！

• 2020.07.21Today’s Class 7

  

  Today, we had lots of fun in Class 7! In the morning, we went to Kitakaze Park with our friends in Class 4 and played together. Some friends played tag, rugby, or soccer, while others practiced using their jump ropes. We were also able to practice running in the relay race! Everyone ran so fast and did their best to pass the baton without dropping it. In English Conversation Time, everyone asked their friends about what they ate for breakfast. After the Morning Meeting, we did our English presentations. Everyone came to the front of the class in groups and talked about their animal habitats, showing their friends different habitats such as the jungle, the ocean, the savanna, and the snowy mountains. Everyone listened carefully and spoke in a big, confident voice. We were also able to do our special Senior flag dance in preparation for Physical Festival, as well as the Tone Chimes. Class 7 worked hard writing numbers today, too, telling the time in both English and Japanese and writing carefully. It was a very fun and busy day! Good job, Class 7!

• 2020.07.20文字かずChallenge～Senior～

  

  今日は、年長組の文字かずChallengeを行いました。先週文字かずKingからの手紙が届いた時から、文字かずChallengeを楽しみにしていたお子さま達。文字・言葉・かずが大好きな先生達と一緒に、問題に取り組みます。文字の部屋では、濁点半濁点の問題や絵に合う言葉を考え、言葉の部屋では反対言葉や「あ」「お」「か」から始まる言葉をたくさん考えました。かずの部屋では、数列の問題や合わせていくつの問題や、前から何番目の問題に取り組みました。それぞれの部屋で、自分の力で全ての問題に一生懸命取り組み、早く終わったお子さまはさらにスペシャル問題も頑張りました。最後にみんなの頑張りを見ていた文字かずKingからの手紙が届くと、「わーい！文字かずKing見ててくれたんだね！」と大喜び。また２学期や３学期にも、もっともっとレベルアップした年長組で文字かずChallengeに挑戦しましょうね！

• 2020.07.17Friday’s Elephant Class & Junior Mojikazu Challenge

  
  

  Friday’s Elephant Class was really fun and the children enjoyed helping Mr. Zookeeper. Today, they could pull his Zoo Train and get animals like “monkey”, “elephant”, “tiger”. They also tried hard to play by themselves. Some children were sad, some played, but everyone did such a good job! Everyone enjoyed trying school lunch and we did some physical “animal challenges” before going home. Great job Elephant Class! See you again next, next Tuesday.

  今日は年少組の“文字かずChallenge”！　先日“Pirate Captain”から文字かずランドへの招待状をもらい、みんな楽しみにしていました。３クラス揃って“Pirate Captain come here!”と元気に呼ぶと、カッコイイCaptainが登場！今日は、みんなに楽しい２つのChallengeがあることを教えてくれました。１つ目のChallengeは“迷子の数字カードを助けよう”というChallengeでした。たくさんの１，２，３の数字カードを、正しい家まで届けるゲームに意欲満々のお子さま達。1人３枚のカードを取るお約束をして、さっそくスタート！じっくり考えるお子さま、手際よくカードを貼っていくお子さま、一人ひとり一生懸命な姿が見られました。２つ目は、“形カードを、ポストに入れよう！”というChallengeで、〇や△などのカードと同じ形カードが貼ってある箱を見つけて入れるゲームでこちらもみんな意欲満々。スタートと同時に、どんどんカードがポストに入れられていきました。最後に“Pirate Captain”にチェックをしてもらい、全問正解で大喜びのお子さま達でした。今日のゲームで使ったたくさんのカードを各クラスにプレゼントして、“Pirate Captain”は、帰っていきましたよ。「Pirate Captainかっこよかった！」「また、文字かずランドにきたい！」と大満足の年少さんでした。

• 2020.07.16Thursday’s Elephant Class & July Birthday Party

  
  

  Thursday in Elephant Class was really fun! The children did so well playing by themselves. Some friends played with dolls and some friends enjoyed the slide many times. Our English Lesson was full of active dancing and speaking. The children could say many animals names like “tiger”, “elephant”, “monkey” and more. We danced like animals and helped Mr. Zookeeper and his Zoo Train. We were impressed when it came to lunch since the children ate most of their lunches. It seems like they really enjoyed trying school lunch. Great job everyone and see you next, next Monday!

  今日は、7月のBirthday partyを行いました。7月生まれのお子さま達は、お兄さんお姉さんになったことに喜びを感じながら、笑顔でパーティーに参加していました。お名前や歳を聞かれ、少し緊張しながらも頑張って答える姿が見られました。「今日はスペシャルゲストが来てくれるよ！」と聞き、とても楽しみにしていたお子さま達は、リボンちゃんの登場に大興奮！「リボンちゃんだー！」「かわいい！」ととても嬉しそうにしていました。練習してきたリボンちゃんダンスを、リボンちゃんと一緒に踊ることができ、大満足のお子さま達♪またリボンちゃんが遊びに来てくれることを楽しみにしています！
