• 2023.12.20Closing Ceremony

  

  今日は2学期のClosing Ceremonyを行いました。2学期の大きなイベントである、Physical FestivalやHyogen Festivalを通して、心も体も大きく成長したお子さま達。椅子の座り方やお話の聞き方も1学期と比べ、背筋をまっすぐに伸ばしたり友達と話さず真剣に聞くなど、とても素敵になりました。副園長先生からは、2学期を振り返ってどんなことがあったのかや成長したのかを聞いたり、冬休み中には「挨拶をしっかりすること」「お父さまやお母さまの話をよく聞くこと」「規則正しい生活をすること」の３つを約束をしました。明日からお子さま達が楽しみしていた冬休みが始まります。クリスマスやお正月などのイベントを楽しんだり、練習帳に挑戦したり体をいっぱい動かして遊んだりなど、怪我のないよう充実した冬休みを過ごしてくださいね！See you next time！

  今日のClass 9は、CraftやCooking、English lessonを楽しみました。Craftで作ったのは、来年の干支である辰。製作活動が大好きなお子さま達は、辰の体に使う折り紙や画用紙の色にもこだわりながら作品を仕上げていました。完成したみんなのカラフルな干支が窓際に飾られると、「かわいいね！」「早くママに見せたいな！」などと大満足の様子でしたよ。
  Cookingでは、ケーキにデコレーションをして食べました。ケーキにクリームを絞ると「早く食べたい！」と目を輝かせていたClass 9のお子さま達。クリームの上にアラザンをたっぷり乗せて、とっても可愛いデコレーションケーキができました。みんなでいただきますをして、あっという間に完食していたお子さま達でした。English Lessonでは、”What do you want for Christmas？”とクリスマスプレゼントを聞き合ったり、クリスマスのデコレーションをゲットするゲームをして楽しみました。２学期のEnglish Lessonが今日で最後だと知ると、「もうないのー？」と寂しがる声も聞こえましたが、また３学期に、みんなでEnglish を使ってたくさん遊べることを楽しみにしていて下さいね！
  明日はいよいよ２学期最後、終業日です！元気な笑顔で幼稚園に来て下さいね！

• 2023.12.18Today in Class 8

  

  Today was a lot of fun in Class 8! After our morning meeting, we presented in front of the class the storybooks we made last week. Each teams made a story, wrote it in English and then drew a picture for each scenes. It was exciting to listen to all the interesting stories and everyone had a lot of fun. Then, we read some Christmas books and it was so cool because we could look inside some of the 3d pictures! We could see Santa, his reindeers, some Christmas trees, a snowman and we could also see the inside a house all decorated for Christmas. Then, we drew a Christmas picture using so many colors and we added paint on it after. After that, it was time to eat our yummy lunch. Today was World Lunch and the country was Iceland! The food was delicious and we listened to some music from Iceland. Then, we had story time and we read a very funny Christmas book. After that it was already time to go home. Good job today Class 8 friends. You did a great job and we had tremendous fun. See you all tomorrow!

  今日の年長組は、Eminaの方々が来てくださって『お砂糖の力セミナー』に参加し、いつも食べている甘いお砂糖がどんなふうにできているのか、どんな働きをするのかなどを学びました。
  お砂糖について教えてくれるともみ先生から、砂糖が含まれる食べ物について聞かれると「クッキーを作った時にお砂糖沢山入れたよ！」「お母さんの作る卵焼きは甘いから砂糖を入れていると思う！」といつも食べているお料理を思い浮かべながら積極的に答えていたお子様たち。紙芝居では、砂糖の原材料や、砂糖の力について知りました。お砂糖が、お菓子だけではなく、魚の煮付けや肉じゃがにも入っていることを知り「知らなかった！」「しょっぱい食べ物にもお砂糖が入っているんだね！」と驚いていました。また、砂糖の原材料の『てんさい』を見せてもらうと興味津々で、「大根とは違うの？」「てんさいって重たい？軽い？」と沢山の質問をしていましたよ。
  紙芝居で関心を高めた後は、砂糖のクイズに挑戦しました。お子さま達は「さっきの紙芝居で見たから簡単にわかる！」とすぐに答えを選択し、見事全問正解！お砂糖についての関心を高めていました。
  たくさん砂糖について知った後は、来てくださった保護者の皆様と一緒に、Eminaの方々が作ってくださったちらし寿司とクッキーを試食しました！「クッキー甘くて美味しい！」「このちらし寿司、お家でも作って欲しい！もっと食べたい！」と大満足の笑顔がたくさん見られた今日のイベントでした。

• 2023.12.14December Birthday Party

  

  Today was the birthday party for the children born in December. Once everyone had gathered together on the first floor, we began the party. The birthday friends marched in and sat in front of the whole kindergarten. Each child could use a big voice to say their name and age. We all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and gave the presents. Today, each class brought gingerbread man cookies that they had made to give to Santa Claus. He has been feeling tired and needed more energy. The smell of the cookies brought Santa to IYK, but he was so tired! After eating all of the yummy cookies, Santa had gotten so fat that the sleigh would not move! To lose the weight, the whole kindergarten danced to ‘Jingle Bells’ and had a great time. Soon, Santa was slim again and flew away. But he soon came back with lots of presents for all of the children at the kindergarten. After handing them out, he flew off to deliver more presents around the world. Happy Birthday December friends!

• 2023.12.13Immersion Day 3

  

  Today we held our 3rd Immersion Day of the year. All of the classes were mixed together and we made 6 special classes for today, each led by a different English Homeroom Teacher. After having exercise and calming time together we each went to our different classrooms to check attendance and to begin today’s games. We had 3 different games today, ‘Feed the Reindeer’ where children had to give the correct carrots to the correct reindeer by matching upper and lowercase letters. We also had ‘Guess the Present’ where children needed to listen carefully to the 3 hints about each present before guessing together what was inside the wrapping paper. The final game was a ‘Tree Relay’ game where children needed to find the matching Christmas ornaments to decorate the 3 Christmas trees. It was fantastic to see the older and younger children working together and helping each other to complete the different games. We still have one more Immersion Day to come before the end of the year and hopefully it will be as fun as it was today!

• 2023.12.12文字かずChallenge(年中)

  

  　今日は、年中組の文字かずChallengeを行いました。各クラスに文字かずレンジャーからの手紙が届き、約束通り１階のお部屋に集合した年中組のお子さま達。１学期の最後に行った前回のChallengeよりもレベルアップした特別なChallengeに「絶対クリアできる！」と自信満々な様子でスタートしました。まず最初は、４０までの穴埋め表に正しい数字カードを当てはめるNumber Challengeです。表の枠と同じ色の部屋にあるカードの中から、正しいカードを選ぶ内容でしたが、『３５』のところにうっかり『５３』のカードを選んでしまったり、『４０』のところに『０４』を選びそうになったりとダミーカードに惑わされるお子さまもいましたが、最後には無事３クラスとも正しい順番の表を完成させることができました。次は、イラストを見て正しい位置に『濁点』か『半濁点』をつけるひらがなChallenge。お子さま達は「はんつ」や「おはけ」など様々なカードの中から好きなカードを選び自分で考えながら記号を書き込み、濁音/半濁音それぞれのバスケットに届けることができましたよ。２つのChallengeをクリアすると、文字かずレンジャーから『ふゆやすみれんしゅうちょう』が届き、「冬休みも文字かずのパワーをどんどんためよう！」とみんなで約束した年中組のお子さま達でした。

• 2023.12.11Today’s Senior

  

  今日の年長組は、体育教室を行いました。ゆうか先生から「今日は今年最後の体育教室だよ！」と聞くと、「もっとやりたい！」と寂しがるほどに体育教室が大好きになったお子さま達が今日挑戦したのは、跳び箱と鉄棒です。
  跳び箱の練習では、「跳ぶ時は上にジャンプするんじゃなくて、ウルトラマンみたいに前の方に向かって跳ぶと上手になるよ！」とゆうか先生にアドバイスをもらい、両足踏み切りの後、跳び箱の奥に手をつくことをイメージしながら挑戦しました。アドバイスを意識して練習するうちに、跳び箱を自分で飛び越えられるようになったお子さまもおり、「初めて一人で跳べた！」と大喜びの様子でした。
  次に行った鉄棒では、逆上がりに挑戦しました。後ろに向かって思い切り蹴ることや、足を蹴り上げた時に腕を伸ばさないようにすることをを意識しながら何度も挑戦し、「あと少しでできそう！」と楽しみながら参加する様子が見られましたよ。
  最後に行った『大仏鬼ごっこ』では、「鬼にタッチされると大仏になって固まる」「助けに来た友達は大仏の前で「ナムナム」と唱える」という、今までやったことのないルールで、大盛り上がりのお子さま達でした。体を思い切り動かして、とっても楽しい体育教室でしたね！

• 2023.12.08Today’s Senior

  

  今日は年長組の文字かずCallengeでした。先生達から届いた挑戦状を読み、「早くChallengeしたいな！」「絶対クリアするぞ！」と朝からやる気いっぱいだったお子さま達。今日は３つのチャレンジに挑戦しました。
  １つ目のチャレンジは、「かずの合成」。カードに書かれた２つのかずをあわせるといくつになるのかを考え、答えを書いたら“文字かずChallenge Box”に届けるというかずのChallengeでした。「こんなの余裕だよ！」と自信をもって取り組んでいたお子さま達は、１学期よりも大きいかずの合成も、指を使ったりしながら正しく考え、見事チャレンジクリアすることができました。
  ２つ目のChallengeは、“ふれせんと”や“へんきん”などと書かれたカードに濁点や半濁点をつけて、正しい言葉に直すというひらがなのChallengeです。選んだカードのイラストを見て、どこに濁点が着くと良いか考えて、完成させた時には「できた！」と達成感を感じていましたよ。みんなが解き終わると、『Challenge せいこう！つぎのステージにすすむ！』という紙が飛び出し、お子さま達は大喜びで、３つ目の挑戦へ駒を進めました。
  最後のChallengeは、「カタカナチャレンジ」。取ったカードのカタカナを読み、書かれている言葉のイラストをもっている教師のところに集まるチャレンジです。「これはエイリアンだよ！」「オーケストラって書いてあるね！」と文字数の多いカタカナも正しく読み、全員大成功！成功の証として、もっとレベルアップのできる“ふゆやすみのしゅくだい”がプレゼントされました！冬休みに、このチャレンジをクリアして、さらにパワーアップしたみんなと、次の文字かずチャレンジに挑戦できることを楽しみにしています！

• 2023.12.07Today’s Class 6

  

  Today in Class 6 we had our first Christmas English Activity. We received a letter from the Elf to crack the Elf’s code, fly to the Elf’s Decoration Shop using the sleigh, and decorate our Class 6 Christmas tree with decorations. We were successful and we celebrated with a ‘Jingle Bells’ dance. Later we started to paint the branches for our Christmas tree crafts. We tried our best to write our names on the stars and drew and made tree trunks. After a long morning, we were so happy to make our own rice balls for lunch. Before we knew it, it was time to go. Thank you for all of your hard work today Class 6. We are going to have lots of activities tomorrow and it’s going to be so much fun. See you then!
