• 2025.07.18closing ceremony

  

  今日は1学期のclosing　ceremonyを行いました。１学期楽しかったこと、頑張ったことを園長先生と一緒に振り返りながら、夏休みの過ごし方などについてお話がありました。真剣にお話を聞いたり、明日から始まる夏休みを楽しみにしながらも、教師や友達と会えない寂しさを実感する様子が見られました。
  また、お引越しで退園してしまうお友達の紹介もあり、寂しい気持ちになりましたが新しい場所でも自分らしく元気に過ごして欲しいと思います。ケガや事故に気を付けて、たくさん思い出を作ってきてくださいね！８月の始業式に元気な姿で幼稚園に来るのを楽しみにしています。

• 2025.07.17Senior Fishing & Class 1

  

  今日は年長組が待ちに待った地引網に行ってきました。前日から「明日は地引網行けるかな？」とドキドキしているお子さまもいましたが今日登園すると「今日地引網いけてよかった！」と喜ぶ姿が見られましたよ。石狩に行くと広い海を見て「船はどこにあるんだろう？」「大きい魚採るぞ！」と意気込むお子さま達。早速2グループに分かれて、地引網が始まりました。「よいしょ！よいしょ！」の大きな掛け声で力を合わせて縄を引っ張り、事前に練習していた後ろから前に行く移動もバッチリでした。どんどん引き上げられてくる網に期待感が高まるお子さま達は、網にかかっていた小さな魚やフグを見て「小さい魚いた！」と喜んでいました。大きな魚は採れず家に持ち帰ることはできませんでしたが、みんなで力を合わせて網を引っ張り、実際に魚に触れることができてとてもいい思い出になりました。お手伝いで参加してくださった保護者の皆様、ありがとうございました。

  

  Today was a really fun day in Class 1. After everyone arrived and put away their bags and hats, we had Discovery Time with Class 2 friends. Then we cleaned up and exercised together. We had a quick Morning Meeting, then made birthday presents for the August birthday friends. Soon it will be Summer Holidays, so today we had super clean up! Everyone cleaned up their trays and cubby holes. Then we cleaned our chairs and finally made the floor shine! When the room was clean, we played a new game, Duck Duck Goose. Class 1 friends had lots of fun choosing their friends and running around the circle. Soon it was time for lunch, play time, and Goodbye Meeting. We hope everyone has a fun summer holiday. See you tomorrow for the closing ceremony!

• 2025.07.16Today’s Bear Class

  

  Today in Bear Class we had our last lesson of the first term. We had a quick morning meeting and attendance time. Then, we reviewed fruit like “apple”, “banana”, “kiwi”, and “peach”. Everyone picked one and helped “mix it” so Mr. Ice Cream could make yummy ice cream with the fruit. We were happy to hear all the children and parents say “I like kiwi,” for example. We were also happy to see the smiles on all the children’s faces when they each got their own ice cream cone. Please enjoy your summer vacation, and we will see everyone back in Bear Class at the end of August. Great job today!

• 2025.07.15July Birthday Party and Today’s Elephant Class

  

  Today was the birthday party for the children born in July. Before singing the Happy Birthday song and giving out presents, all the birthday children did a great job saying their names and how old they were. After that, they all did a fabulous job answering their grade questions! The children put their birthday candles on the big cake and then we all sang Happy Birthday to them. Once we finished singing we passed out birthday presents before our teacher’s play. This month’s play was the ‘Wizard of Oz’! Dorothy magically ended up in Emerald City and needed help finding her way to IYK for the birthday party. She met a Scarecrow, Tin Man and a Lion before meeting a Wizard who gave her magic ruby slippers to get to IYK. Using the magic ruby slippers, they all made it to IYK together just in time for the birthday party. It was the Wizard’s birthday too so he shared cake with all the IYK July birthday friends. Congratulations to all of the July birthday friends and thank you to the parents who came to watch!

  

  Today was the last day of Elephant Class in the first term, and we had so much fun together. We reviewed fruit like “kiwi”, “apple”, “banana”, and “peach”, and each child could pick one and say, “I like kiwi,” for example. Then we pretended to mix the fruit by doing a rhythmic activity. Finally, Mr. Ice Cream came and shared his yummy fruit ice cream with the children. Everyone could tell him their favorite fruit, and pretend to eat it. Summer time is very hot, so we hope everyone can stay cool. Please have lots of fun and we will see you again in August!

• 2025.07.14Today’s Elephant Class

  

  Today was the last day of Elephant Class in the first term. We had lots of fun and the children had opportunities to use lots of English. During our English Activity, the children helped Monkey mix fruit like apples, peaches, and kiwis to make ice cream. Then, Mr. Ice Cream came with the yummy ice cream and cones. Each of the children could say full sentences like, “I like kiwi.” Everyone got ice cream and we all pretended to eat it. We were very impressed by each child’s effort. They did so well speaking one by one! We hope everyone has a wonderful summer vacation. Please be safe and have lots of fun. We will miss you, but we look forward to seeing you again in August.

• 2025.07.11Today’s Seniors

  

  今日は、年長組でMoji Kazu Challengeを行いました。前日にアイクくんから年長組で1学期に行ったもじかずの難しいチャレンジに挑戦してもらうことについてのお手紙が届き、「どんなチャレンジがきても簡単だよ！絶対できる！」と自信満々なお子さま達。もじかずチャレンジが始まると2つのスターをゲットしてチャレンジシートをコンプリートさせようというミッションが与えられ、一つ目の数のチャレンジに挑戦しました。数の挑戦では、２つの数字を合わせる数の合成を行い、「これNumber printでもやったよね！」「手を使ったら簡単だよ」とスラスラと解答する姿が見られました。一つ目のスターを無事ゲットして、2つ目のチャレンジを行いました。2つ目のチャレンジはもじのチャレンジで「ぎゅうにゅう」や「きゃべつ」などの『拗音・促音」が含まれる単語を読んで正しいイラストが描かれたバスケットにいれるチャレンジでした。「なんて読むんだっけ？」と苦戦するお子さまもいましたが、教師が少しサポートすると読むことができ、全員正しく読んでバスケットに入れることができました。もじチャレンジでも無事スターをゲットして、ミッションコンプリートしたお子さま達は、自信がつき「二学期ももっと難しいもじかずにチャレンジしたい！」と意気込む様子が見られました。

• 2025.07.10Today’s Class 6

  

  Today’s Class 6 did such a great job today! We finished our Fireworks craft. Everyone did a great job using their hands to cut their origami paper into small pieces to then glue on. Everyone’s craft looks amazing! Then we had our music lesson. Class 6 friends did such a great job, our music teacher was so proud and told them how well they leveled up. After our music lesson, we had our English Activity. Everyone did a great job saying where the friendly aliens are from, “It’s from Neptune”, then placing them in their rocket ships to go home. Excellent job today Class 6. Let’s have more fun together tomorrow!
