• 2025.05.30Elephant Class Trip to Maruyama Zoo

  

  Today, Elephant Class children and parents came with us to go see animals at Maruyama Zoo. It was pretty hot today, but everyone made sure to drink lots of water. Thank you for coming everyone, and great job doing your best to walk around so much. We could see so many animals together! It was nice to see elephants, lions, red pandas, and more.

  Next week we will begin classes with just the children. The day will be longer and the children will be able to try school lunch. They might be nervous at first, but we will do our best to make them feel comfortable and have fun. As always, thank you for your support and see you all on Tuesday.

• 2025.05.29Elephant Class Trip to Maruyama Zoo

  

  Today, the Elephant Class children and parents went with us to Maruyama Zoo. The weather was wonderful, and we could see so many animals! We had good views of elephants, tigers, monkeys, red pandas, monkeys, and more. We could even see sleepy animals like lions and leopards. It was great to speak English with both the children and parents. Thank you for talking about animals, and saying many animal names with us.

  We are looking forward to the next Elephant Class. Our class time together will be a little longer and we will eat lunch together. We will do our best to support the children. We want them to feel comfortable and have fun. We appreciate parents support, and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

• 2025.05.28Today’s Class 6

  

  ‘Today in Class 6, we had a short day full of fun doing our Group Activities. Soccer friends practiced different skills and then played a couple games with soccer balls. Jump rope friends had fun practicing their jump rope skills. Art friends used their feet to make a really fun looking painting. Everyone had lots of energy and are continuing to get better with their Morning and Goodbye Meetings. Great job today Class 6 friends. Let’s have more fun tomorrow!

• 2025.05.27May Birthday Party!

  

  　今日は５月生まれのBirthday Partyが行われました。たくさんの友達の前で話すことにちょっぴり緊張気味のお子さまも見られましたが、”Ｍy name is 〇〇！”と元気よく自己紹介をしたり、同じ学年の友達とタイミングを合わせて”I’m 6！”と年齢を答えたりと、また1つお兄さんお姉さんにレベルアップしたことに自信に満ちた表情が見られました。また、各学年に向けたQuestion timeでは、好きな食べ物や色について笑顔で発表する姿が見られましたよ。最後に、大きなBirthday Cakeにキャンドルをつけて、クラスの友達からのプレゼントを受け取ると今日１番の笑顔を見せてくれた誕生児のお子さま達でした。Teacher’s Playでは『形』が大好きなShapes Sistersが登場し、幼稚園の先生達に協力してもらいながら、色々な形を集め、全てを合わせるとどんな形ができるか全員で考えました。すると、聞き覚えのあるメロディーがどこかから聞こえてきて、「バースデーケーキができるのかも！」と試しに並べ替えてみると、本当にケーキが完成！サックスという楽器が登場し、素敵な音色に合わせてみんなでもう一度Birthday songを歌ってお祝いしました。

• 2025.05.26菜園活動

  

  今日は、年少、年中、年長の全園児でバスに乗って平和幼稚園へお邪魔し、菜園活動を行いました。朝から雨が降ったり止んだりでしたが、お子さま達の元気なパワーで植え付けを行う時間は晴れてくれましたよ。年少はトマトを、年中はピーマンを、年長はじゃがいもを植えました。「ふわふわしているね！」と土の感触を楽しんだり、トマトの苗の匂いを嗅いでみたりと五感を研ぎ澄ませて植え付けを楽しんでいたお子さま達。最後に、「Grow !Grow !Grow！」と元気いっぱいの声で、大きく育つおまじないをかけることができました。次はまた、6月にお世話をしに行きます。楽しみにしていてくださいね！

• 2025.05.23Today’s Seniors

  

  今日は年長組でさとらんどにさつまいもの苗植えに行きました。朝から「今日はさとらんどに行くんだよね！」「軍手も長靴も持ってきたよ！」とわくわくした様子のお子さま達。バスの中では、みんなで絵本やクイズを見ながら、さつまいもとじゃがいもの違いについての話を聞き、「同じ芋でも、苗とか花は違うんだね」と芋についての知識を深め、よりさつまいもを植えることに期待感を高めながらさとらんどへ向かいました。さとらんどに着くと、係員の方が苗の植え方について詳しく教えて下さり、さっそく苗植えに挑戦です！土を少し掘って、寝かせるように苗を置き、優しく上から土をかけてあげて、最後にさつまいもが大きく育つように「Grow！Grow！Grow！」と元気いっぱいにマッジクワードを唱えました。「さつまいも、大きくなるといいね」「早く収穫したいな」と10月の収穫を心待ちにするお子さま達でした。

• 2025.05.22避難訓練

  

  今日は今年度初めての避難訓練で、火災が発生した時を想定して避難訓練を行いました。事前にクラスで火事の恐ろしさや避難の仕方について学んでいたお子さま達。放送がかかるとすぐに話をやめて静かにし放送をよく聞き、素早く外へ避難することができました。外では、『おはしも』の約束を確認すると、「おさない、走らない、しゃべらない、戻らない」の約束をしっかりと覚え、たくさんのお子さま達が発表をしてくれました。もしもの時に自分の身を守れるように、次回の避難訓練もしっかりと取り組んでくださいね！

• 2025.05.21Today’s Class 5

  

  Today in Class 5 we made the most of our fun-filled Wednesday half day! Even with a shorter schedule, we packed in plenty of excitement with our special Senior Group Activities. The children got to choose between three awesome options: soccer, art, and jump rope! Our jump rope friends had a blast trying out new jump rope techniques and cheering each other on. Over in art, friends worked together to create a big, beautiful ocean scene using different painting tools—next time, they’ll be adding colorful fish to bring it to life! And our soccer stars practiced their skills with fun drills and mini-games that kept everyone moving and smiling. At the end of our activities, each child proudly received a sticker on their Group Activity Cards. Great teamwork and effort today, Class 5!

• 2025.05.20Today’s Class 4

  

  Today in Class 4 we had so much fun! We have been working so hard to level up our tie a bow skills, and we can all finish the bow with some guidance. Awesome job! Next we had a special Food and Life event together with Class 3. It was so fun to learn about the Green peppers we will be planting. Now we know a lot of cool stuff about growing green peppers. Afterwards, everyone was excited to practice melodion together. We have fun practicing, so we will be very good at playing in no time! Class 4 did so well today! We can’t wait to see what will happen in our English Activity tomorrow!

• 2025.05.19Today’s Senior

  

  今日は年長組になって初めての体育教室でした。「年長組になったらどんなことするのかな？」「少し難しくなるのかも！」とドキドキわくわくな様子のお子さま達。まずは、ゆうか先生と元気いっぱいご挨拶をして、怪我をしないように、準備運動やストレッチをしました。その後は、両足を揃えて跳ぶウサギジャンプや、手を先に地面に置いてから、足を手に近づけるライオン歩きに挑戦し、ゆうか先生のアドバイスを真剣に聞いて、動物になりきりながら上手にウォーミングアップをしていましたよ。ウォーミングアップを終えると、いよいよ跳び箱に挑戦です！初めにマットの上で腕の力を使って足を上げる練習をしてから、ロイター板の上でグーの形で足を揃えて跳んで、跳び箱の上にパーで手をつく練習をしました。ゆうか先生のアドバイスで、踏み切る位置や手の付く位置を教えてもらい、「グーグーパー！」の掛け声を口に出しながら、挑戦するとどんどん手の付く位置や足の踏み切る位置が上手になり、「上手に跳べた！」と自信に繋がっていました。最後に、みんなで氷鬼をしました。「鬼から逃げろー！」「氷にされちゃったから誰か助けて―！」と協力しながら鬼から逃げて楽しんでいた年長組のお子さま達でした。
