• 2025.04.15Today’s Class 2

  

  Today in Class 2 was lots of fun. We started our morning by playing with friends, and we did a dance to exercise after we were done playing. We had Morning Meeting and took attendance after the Meeting. We received crayons as a present, and we colored donuts with our new crayons. Once we were finished making our donuts, we had Lunch Time and talked with our new friends and teachers while we ate our yummy food. We also enjoyed a funny English book during Book Time. Great job today, everyone!

• 2025.04.14Today’s Class 1

  

  Class 1 friends had lots of fun today. Today was the first day of kindergarten, and everyone came to IYK with a big smile on their face. A few friends were nervous at first, but after hanging up their new uniforms and putting away their bags, all of the children had fun playing together. After cleaning up the toys, we did exercise together and went to the toilet. When we got back we sang the ABC song, checked the weather and date, then got our first stickers for our stickerbooks from Freddy the Frog. Everyone said, “I’m here!” in a big voice, and we had fun jumping off of a box onto a mat. Soon it was time for a storybook and the Goodbye Song. Today was a short day, but we did a lot of fun activities. We can’t wait to see everyone again tomorrow! See you!

• 2025.04.12入園式

  

  今日は令和7年度の入園式を行いました。素敵な笑顔で登園するお子さまや少し緊張したお子さまなど様々な様子のお子さま達が見られました。登園するとまず2階の自分のクラスの部屋に行き、担任の先生からネームバッジをつけてもらいました。「赤色のバッジだったよ！」「同じ緑色のバッジのお友達はどこかな」と自分のお名前バッジに喜んだり、同じ色のバッジのお友達を探す様子も見られました。自分のクラスを見たり、保護者の方とトイレに行ったりと幼稚園生活に期待感を高めているお子さま達でした。9時になると１階のお部屋で入園式が始まりました。理事長先生や園長先生の話を聞いたり、担任紹介が終わると楽しいTeacher’s Playのスタート！RabbitやDog、Bearなど楽しい仲間が出てきたり、IYKの先生達から素敵なプレゼントをもらったりするお話に興味津々で見入っていましたよ。その後は、動物達や先生達と一緒に “It’s a small world” の曲に合わせて楽しく手を叩いて演奏を楽しみました。月曜日からいよいよ幼稚園が始まります。皆さん幼稚園に来てくれることを先生方みんなで楽しみに待ってます！元気に登園してきてくださいね！

• 2025.04.11Opening Ceremony

  

  今日はOpening Ceremonyが行われ、いよいよ今年度がスタートしました。新しい制服姿で登園したお子さま達は、久しぶりの友達との再会に少し緊張した表情も見られましたが、新しい担任にバッジをつけてもらうと笑顔があふれ、いつの間にか元気いっぱい遊ぶ様子が見られましたよ。Opening Ceremonyでは、新しく仲間入りしたお友達や先生達の紹介や、園長先生との「元気な挨拶を忘れず、笑顔で元気よく遊びましょう」という約束をして、期待を膨らませていたお子さま達。今年度もお子さま達の成長に寄り添いながら、職員一同サポートしてまいります。

• 2025.03.17修了式

  

  今日は３学期の修了式でした。昨日卒園式があったことを知り、「年長組さんいないの寂しいね！」と話していた年少と年中組のお子さま達。一方で、４月からひとつ大きな学年になることを楽しみにしている様子が見られました。１年間、色々なイベントや活動などの経験をしてきたお子さま達。春休みが終わって幼稚園に来た時には、新しいクラスで楽しいことをたくさんしましょうね。４月にまた元気に皆さんに会えることを楽しみにしています。

• 2025.03.16第60回卒園式

  

  Today was the 60th graduation ceremony at IYK. The Senior grade children came to the kindergarten in beautiful clothes, such as hakama and suits and each child answered splendidly and received their graduation certificates with confidence. They sang the school song, the graduation song, and recited their words as a grade together with great energy. The memories they have made at kindergarten and the things they have learnt will remain in the children’s hearts forever and will become strengths for them in the future. Even after they go to elementary school, make lots of friends and try various things, the teachers at IYK are always here to support you and cheer you on! Congratulations to all of the Senior children and their families today.

  今日は第60回卒園式でした。袴やスーツなど素敵な服装で登園した年長組のお子さま達。1人1人が立派に返事をし、卒園証書を受け取りました。スクールソングや卒園の歌、ことばも元気いっぱいに言うことができました。幼稚園で過ごした思い出、そして幼稚園で培ったことは、お子さま達の心にいつまでも残り、これからの力になっていくことでしょう。小学校へ行っても、たくさんの友達をつくっていろいろなことに挑戦してくださいね。先生達はずっと皆さんのことを応援しています。年長組さん、そしてご家族の皆様、本日は本当におめでとうございます。

• 2025.03.15Today`s Class 5

  

  Today Class 5 had a great time with their final English Activity of the term. We managed to say what we want at the big dinner party and had a big feast with Mr. T-chef. After, we did a super clean to prepare the classroom for the next term. We cleaned every part of the classroom and made sure everything was neat and tidy. We also had our last E.C.T and Phonics Time for the term, so we got to play lots of fun English games. Then we had a super yummy lunch and got to play and read a book. It has been such a fun day and a lovely way to end the term before our closing ceremony. Amazing job this term Class 5! Keep up the good work when you are Seniors!

• 2025.03.13Farewell Party

  

  年長組の卒園を間近に控えた今日は、お別れパーティーを行いました。卒園式のようにBGMが流れるとかっこよく入場した年長組。担任の先生の合図できびきびと歩く姿がとても素敵でした。卒園式でもうたう歌‟Friends Forever”を年長組が披露し、年少中からは“思い出のアルバム”の歌のプレゼントをお返ししました。その後は各チームに分かれて楽しいゲームをしたり、年少中が準備したペンダントを「今までありがとう。」と気持ちを込めてプレゼントしました。そして、みんなが楽しみにしていた最後の給食Timeでは、好きな物を選んで異年齢のお友達とも交流しながら美味しく頂きました。年長組の皆さん、小学生になっても元気で頑張ってくださいね！

• 2025.03.12Class 4 / Bear Class

  

  Today in Class 4, we had a super fun day packed with many activities! We really impressed our teachers by perfecting our handbell skills. We could perform the song nearly perfectly in only two tries–wow! After that we showed off our jump rope skills and then celebrated by continuing our game party. Class 4 loves to have fun and compete in challenges, so we definitely loved playing balloon volleyball! We are making sure to have as much fun together during our last days as class 4. We can’t wait to celebrate the Seniors at the Farewell Party tomorrow!

  

  Today was the last day of Bear Class! We had our final Morning Meeting and completed our last English activity. Since we’ve been practicing shopping a lot recently, we had one final shopping experience. This time, to pick out presents for our parents! We had many beautiful flowers to choose from and selected our favorite colors. After that, we listened to farewell speeches from all our teachers and the vice-principal. We also received our Certificates of Completion and some special photos to cherish as beautiful memories of preschool. We hope to see you all again next year in Junior Class. Let’s continue learning and having fun together!

• 2025.03.11March’s Birthday Party / Elephant Closing Ceremony

  

  Today was the March Birthday Party! All of the friends at IYK with birthdays in March were able to celebrate today. There was also an art awards ceremony where many IYK friends won big awards that they can take home. All of the teachers were so proud. During the Birthday Party, each grade level of friends got to stand in front of everyone in the kindergarten and say how old they were. After that, everyone sang a nice song for all of the birthday friends. Then, everyone heard something coming from the side room. Mr. Wolf showed up and put on a fun show! It was Mr. Wolf’s birthday, too, and he wanted some friends to celebrate with. Unfortunately, he kept sneezing and blowing down all of the houses of the friendly pigs, Scooby, Sally, and Wilbur, until only the brick house remained. The pigs were scared at first, because they thought Mr. Wolf would eat them, but in the end they all became friends and shared some birthday cake together. The school year’s last birthday party was so much fun! Happy birthday to our March Birthday friends!

  

  Today was the final day for our Elephant friends! We hope this year in Preschool has been filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful memories. From the very first day, we have watched you grow, and it’s amazing to see how much you have learned and changed! You’ve made new friends, gained confidence, and become more independent in so many ways. We are so proud of you and know that you’re ready for the next step in your journey! We also want to take a moment to thank all the wonderful Mommies and Daddies for their endless support throughout the year. Thank you for bringing your little ones to Preschool, joining our events, and always being there for them. We truly appreciate you! We can’t wait to see you again next year!
