• 2025.06.30Birthday Party

  

  今日は、６月生まれのBirthday Partyでした。ピアノの音楽とたくさんの手拍子に合わせて、１４名のBirthday Kidsが元気に登場してきました。名前や歳を答えた後には、学年毎にもう一つの質問がありました。好きな色、動物、食べ物を聞かれたお子さまたちは、“I like tomato!”などと自信をもって答えていましたよ。そして、今月の先生達からのプレゼントはMusicでした。ハンドベルでの“小さな世界”。English Teachersと一緒に歌う“BINGO”。そして、いろいろな楽器で演奏された“夢をかなえてドラえもん”と“勇気１００％”。最後は、みんなが大好きな“School song”でした。どのお子さまも、知っている曲ばかりで、嬉しそうに口ずさんだり、体でリズムをとりながら元気いっぱいに歌う姿が見られました。６月生まれのみなさん、Happy Birthday！

• 2025.06.27Today’s Seniors

  

  今日は年長組で地下鉄乗車体験を行いました。朝から「今日は地下鉄乗る日だね！」と楽しみに登園してきたお子さま達。切符を買う前に教師からお金を受け取り、力強く握るなど落とさないように気を付けていましたよ。事前活動で切符を買う練習を行い、「地下鉄、こども、130」のマジックワードも覚えていたので切符の買い方はバッチリでした！改札を通る時には、切符の裏表を間違えてしまうハプニングもありましたがみんな無事に改札を通って地下鉄に乗ることができました。地下鉄カードを見ながら友達と「次は円山公園駅だって！行ったことあるよね！」「今は西11丁目駅だから次は大通駅だね」と色々な駅に興味を持ちながら会話を楽しんで地下鉄に乗っていました。大通り公園に着くと「とうきび屋さんあったよ！」とさらにわくわく度が高まるお子さま達。事前にグループで決めた味を店員さんに伝えて上手にとうきびを買うことができました。帰りのバスの中では、ただようとうきびの香りに「早く食べたい！」と楽しみにしてしていました。幼稚園に着くと、ユニオン給食やお弁当と一緒に自分で買ったとうきびにかぶりつき「みんなで買ったとうきびはおいしいね！」と喜びながら味わうお子さま達でした。

• 2025.06.26Today’s Elephant Class

  

  Today in Elephant Class, we had lots of fun with Yasue-sensei during our music activity time. The children had fun playing the bells, dancing, and singing along to songs. We were very impressed that the children remembered how to hold the bells correctly, and everyone looked like they had lots of fun. After our music activity, we played the game Duck, Duck, Goose. While we had played the same game with parents before, this was the children’s first time playing it by themselves. Everyone did so well, and many children tried hard to say “duck” and “goose” when going around the circle. Please enjoy your weekend, everyone, and see you again on Monday!

• 2025.06.25Today’s Class 2

  

  Today in Class 2 was very busy and very fun. We really liked Discovery Time today as we got to play with many different puzzles as well as other toys. We had ECT after Discovery Time, and we each practiced talking about which vegetables we like. We got to use a microphone to practice asking each other about vegetables too! We had Morning Meeting, sang the ABC song for Phonics Time, and practiced drawing circles for Line Work. We finished the day with a funny English book about animals, and everyone ate lunch after saying goodbye to the Early Course children. Wonderful job today, everyone!

• 2025.06.24Today’s Class 1

  

  Class 1 had lots of fun today. After everyone put away their bags and water bottles we had Discovery Time with Class 2. Lots of friends enjoy playing with clay and using the clay tools. After we cleaned up, it was time to exercise. Today was our first time doing the big kid’s exercise, and it was lots of fun. After doing our Morning Meeting and getting stickers for our stickerbooks, we got ready to go to Heiwa Kindergarten to take care of our mini tomatoes. Class 1 friends got on the bus and headed up into the mountains. When we got there, everyone took turns pulling out weeds so that out tomatoes can stay healthy. Then finally we watered them with our elephant watering cans. Just before we left, all of the Juniors commanded the tomatoes to, “Grow! Grow! Grow!” with a big voice. After returning to IYK, we had a yummy lunch and some play time before reading a fun English book and saying goodbye to everyone. See you tomorrow, everyone!

• 2025.06.23Today’s Intermediate

  

  　今日は年中組２回目の体育教室が行われました。まずは怪我をしないようにしっかりと準備運動を行い、両脚跳びの「ウサギジャンプ」や、腕の力で体を支える「アザラシ歩き」でウォーミングアップはバッチリ。いよいよメインのアクティビティが始まると、肘を真っ直ぐ伸ばすお約束を意識しながら、鉄棒で３カウントキープしたり、グー・グー・パーの足の動きを意識しながら跳び箱に跳び乗る練習をしました。まだ腕だけで体を支えるのが難しかったり、足の動きが途中で分からなくなってしまう子もいましたが、それでも一人ひとりが最後まで諦めずに自分なりに取り組む姿が見られましたよ。最後はゆうか先生と一緒にゲームをして体育教室はおしまい。クラスのPhysical Activityでも今日学んだことを活かし活動を進めていきたいと思います。

• 2025.06.20Today’s Elephant Class

  

  Today in Elephant Class we had lots of fun reviewing body parts. We got in the summer mood by dancing to a Hawaiian-style version of “Hokey Pokey”. The children did great using a big, loud voice to say body parts like “head”, “hand”, and “foot”. We also had a little obstacle course where the children tried to walk on top of the foot prints. Everyone did their best and we saw many smiles. Stay cool and please have a nice weekend, Elephant Class friends. See you again on Tuesday!

• 2025.06.19Today’s Intermediate～Maruyama Zoo～

  

  　今日は年中組のみんなで円山動物園に行ってきました！天候にも恵まれ、「早く着かないかな～」と楽しみにしていた動物園に到着すると、オオワシが大きな鳴き声でお出迎えしてくれ、「何て言ってるのかな？」「みんなが来て喜んでるのかも！」「本当は怒ってるのかもしれないよ」などと想像力を膨らませていたお子さま達。それから元気いっぱいな「さる」、親子で水浴びをする「ぞう」、色々なさるの仲間達や、高い所で休憩中の「チンパンジー」、ご飯中の「エゾシカ」に、水のシャワーで涼む「オオカミ」と様々な動物達を見て折り返し。水のプールの中でくつろぐ「ヒマラヤンブラッグベア」や、ご飯中の「きりん」、お散歩している「ダチョウ」や「しまうま」に、お部屋で休む「らいおん」と予定時間ギリギリまでたくさんの動物達を観察したお子さま達は、達成感でいっぱい。長い距離も自分達の足で歩ききることができ、クタクタに疲れた様子も見られましたが、「明日は何の動物を描こうかな？」と期待を膨らませる年中組のお子さま達でした。

• 2025.06.18Today’s Bear Class

  

  Today in Bear Class we had fun learning about shapes and playing percussion instruments. Everyone walked around the room and looked for shapes like squares, triangles, and circles. We practiced pointing and saying “It’s a circle,” for example. Then, we got out some instruments like tambourines, bongos, and a conga drum. Each instrument had a shape on it. The children tried hard to say the shape names and enjoyed hitting the instruments. Some friends did a little dancing too. We were very impressed with the children’s ability to look for and find shape around the room. Great job everyone! Stay cool and see you next week.

• 2025.06.17Today’s senior~Maruyama Zoo~

  

  今日は、年長組で円山動物園に行ってきました。「動物園楽しみ！」と、前日から楽しみにしていたお子さま達。動物園では、ワシやフクロウから始まり、サルやオラウータンなど、色々な動物を見ました。年長組のお子さま達は、檻の中のどこに動物がいるか、ワウワクした表情で探しながら散策しており、チンパンジーが近くまで来たり、寝ていたライオンが起き上がる様子を見ると「こっち見てくれた！」「遊びに来てくれた！」などと大喜びの様子でした。帰りのバスの中でも「今日見たキリンが可愛かった！」などと、友達と動物のことを思い出しながら盛り上がっていた年長組でした。みんなで動物の絵を描くことも、楽しみにしていてくださいね！
