• 2025.06.16Today’s Junior ＆ Senior

  

  今日は年長組の体育教室がありました。朝から「今日はゆうか先生が来る日だよね！」とわくわくした様子のお子さま達。体育教室が始まると、まずは念入りに準備運動を行いました。その後は、跳び箱を跳ぶためのウォーミングアップでウサギになって両足跳びをしたり、ライオンになって手から足の順番で床につく練習をしたあとに、跳び箱の踏み切る練習として、走ってきたらマーカーの上に両足で着地する練習を行いました。勢いよく走ってくると中々ピタっ！とマーカの上に両足で着地することが難しく、通り過ぎたり、片足の着地になってしまい「これ、難しいよ～」と苦戦するお子さま達でしたが、ゆうか先生のアドバイスで踏み切りの位置や足の動かし方をどうしたら良いかしっかり聞いて、2度目のチャレンジをするとみんな上手にピタっ！と止まることができました。ウォーミングアップを終えると、いよいよ跳び箱に挑戦です。最初のウォーミングアップで踏み切る練習をした成果もあり、ロイター板の上での踏み切りもとっても上手に踏み切って跳び箱を跳んでいました。その後は、鉄棒の前回りにも挑戦したり、最後には泥棒と警察に分かれて鬼ごっこも楽しみながら体をいっぱい動かした年長組のお子さま達でした。

  

  今日の年少組はMaruyama Zooへ行きました。「今日はMaruyama Zooへいく日だね！」と楽しみにして登園してきたお子さま達。バスにのり、動物園での約束を確認すると、あっという間に円山動物園へ着きました。「どんなAnimalがいるかな！」とワクワクしながら歩いていると、まずはOwlとEagleがいました。一緒に鳥の鳴き声を真似したり、じっと見つめてみたりとそれぞれの楽しみ方をしていました。Giraffeを見つけた時には「すごく大きいね！」「大きい方はお母さんなのかな？」と色々な発見をしながら観察する姿が見られていましたよ。幼稚園に戻ってからも「Ostrichはまんまるの体だったね」「ぞうさん鼻が長くてカッコよかったな」と今日見た動物たちのことを嬉しそうに話してました。水曜日は各クラスで動物の絵を描きます。楽しみにしていてくださいね！

• 2025.06.13Today’s Class 6

  

  Today in Class 6, we had so much fun. After playing with our friends in the morning, we had English Writing. Everyone has been doing well learning about Magic ‘E’. It is great to see everyone’s writing skills have been improving. We then had swimming. We had so much fun in the water. Once we were all finished with swimming, we then ate our yummy lunches. Before going home we played a game together in Class 6. Great job this week Class 6. Let’s have more fun together next week! Have a nice weekend.

• 2025.06.12Junior’s Open Class

  

  Today was Class 1’s first Open Class! Today was the day for our Mixed Juice Party. But Freddy Frog ate all of the fruit, so we had to go shopping for more. After following a map to the shop, all of the children got the chance to be both shopkeepers and customers. We heard lots of great English, and friends asking each other, “What do you want?” and answering, “I want a blueberry!” After everyone had their fruit, we called Mr. Juice to use his mixer and added some Ghost Powder to make the juice extra yummy. As he called the children to put their fruit in the mixer, everyone could say, “I got a banana!” After everyone got their cup of mixed juice, the party began, and we sang the Juice Song together. Soon it was time to say goodbye to Mr. Juice. We are so proud of everyone in Class 1 today. They did an amazing job and also had lots of fun. Thank you to all of the parents who could join us today. We really appreciate your ongoing support!

  

  Today was Class 2’s first Open Class, and we started by singing the ABC song and by playing a Phonics game. We used big voices and remembered lots of Phonics words. Once Phonics Time was over, we had a Mixed Juice Party! We saw that Ella Elephant ate all the fruit we had saved for the party, so we went shopping and got many new fruits for the party by saying, “I want an apple,” and other fruit names. Once we had new fruits, we met Miss Juice to help make some yummy juice. She brought us a mixer, and she poured in some ghost powder to help the mixer switch on. We did a fantastic job asking questions during our shopping, such as, “What do you want?” and asking about the fruits our friends chose, such as when we asked, “What did you get?” We also did a great job answering questions, such as when we said, “I got an orange,” as well as other fruits. After we all received a cup of mixed fruit juice, we sang the Juice Song and drank the yummy juice. Class 2 did a wonderful job, and we all had so much fun! Thank you, parents, for coming today to support and encourage the children. They were so happy to see their parents, and we are so thankful for your support at the kindergarten.

• 2025.06.11Today’s Class 5

  

  Today in Class 5 we had another exciting round of Senior Group Activities, and it’s amazing to see how much everyone has grown! After a few weeks of practice, all of the children are really improving and showing lots of confidence in their chosen groups. Our soccer group had a blast today using real goals for the first time, practicing their kicks and cheering each other on. Over in art, friends created “rooms” on paper and stacked them to build a big, colorful house inspired by a storybook. They even painted the sky and ground and added decorations to make it feel extra special. Meanwhile, the jump rope team is getting better and better! Today they challenged themselves to see how many jumps they could do for each type—one leg hops, skip jumps, even backwards jumps. Everyone is showing great focus and teamwork. Keep it up, Class 5!

• 2025.06.10Intermediate’s Open Class

  

  Today Class 3 did a fantastic job with both today’s English Conversation Time and our English Activity. There were a few nerves at the start, but everyone soon relaxed and showed their confidence and enthusiasm to communicate in English! After asking their friends, “What vegetables do you like?” during ECT we did our final ‘Cat Detective’ crime scene challenge. All of the children did so well identifying which shapes they needed to put into the Detective Box to receive a face part to help solve the mystery of who the diamond thief is! Thank you again to all of the parents that could come today and support their children, everyone did a brilliant job!

  

  Class 4 had so much fun doing English Conversation Time and a special English Activity today! We sang the vegetable song and everyone could talk about what vegetables they like using a nice big voice–nice job! Everyone was also excited to finally solve the final mystery with Cat Detective and find the thief. They could recognize many shapes and use them to get clues from the Detective Box. Class 4 did so well using many different adjectives to describe and make the picture of the thief. They could identify the thief and find the diamonds! All the children worked hard to use full sentences and did a wonderful job! We are very grateful to all the parents who were able to come today– thank you very much for your support.

• 2025.06.09Seniors’ Open Class

  

  Today in Class 5 was a very special day as we welcomed our families for Open Class. The children were so excited to show what they have been learning in English, especially all about endangered animals. Over the past few weeks, we have been building up to this moment by practicing important vocabulary and questions. Today, we began by greeting our mommies warmly with big smiles and confident voices. Then we had our ECT time, where the children lined up and practiced the question “How endangered is it?” with answers like “It’s endangered,” “It’s extinct,” or “It’s extinct in the wild.” Everyone did such a fantastic job remembering the words and speaking clearly. After that, we visited our classroom “zoo” and each child chose an animal to take back to its home country. It was a proud and joyful moment for everyone. Great job, Class 5!

  Today in Class 6 we had so much fun during our Open Lesson. After getting the animals from the Zoo we took them back to their home countries using new transportation from Mr. Zookeeper. Once all the animals were home we checked and saw everyone was so happy! We then had to count the number of Endangered Animals back in their home countries. Everyone did a great job completing all of the challenges from Mr. Zookeeper. We got a super cool badge for our badge cards and also a certificate of participation for everyone. We finished the Open Class by singing our “Who lives here” song. Great job today Class 6!

• 2025.06.06Today’s Class 4

  

  Today in Class 4, we had a great time together! We our getting so good at our morning routines and are getting better everyday at doing tie a bow and writing our names. Today we were all excited to practice writing alphabet letters for fun! Our writing skills are improving so much. After that we finished making our super special present for our dads. We used glue and made Super Dads! Then we were ready for some yummy Union lunch. We always have a big appetite, and today we were so excited to eat some curry. We can’t wait to have another fun week next week! We are excited to show off what we have been learning in Open Class!

• 2025.06.05Today’s Class 3

  

  Today in Class 3 we had lots of fun helping the Cat Detective find and return the stolen hats during our English Activity. The children could all use lovely, big voices to help each other choose the correct hats to return to the shop, “They have yellow hats!” We also had our daily English Conversation Time, with the children gaining more and more confidence to speak with their friends. This week is ‘mouth and dental hygiene week’ and we discussed the importance of brushing and taking care of our teeth with all the children agreeing that healthy teeth are much better than teeth with cavities! Great job today Class 3!

• 2025.06.04Today’s Bear Class

  

  Everyone in Bear Class had lots of fun today moving like animals. The children helped the teachers find a rabbit and a monkey. First, they got to see just the tails as hints. When the animals came out, we all moved like them through a mini obstacle course. For rabbits, the children tried saying “It’s a rabbit,” and hopped through rings on the floor. For monkeys, they tried saying “It’s a monkey,” and climbed up and went down a slide. Great job, everyone! We are so happy to see the children becoming more comfortable, even though we meet just once per week. Next time, let’s play with one more animal friend. See you all next week!

• 2025.06.03Today’s Class 2

  

  Today in Class 2 was lots of fun. We played with many different toys during Discovery Time, and we did a great job during Morning Meeting. We enjoyed learning new English words for this month’s stickers. After Morning Meeting, we had our swimming lesson. We practiced kicking and moving in the water. We ate a yummy lunch after our lesson, and we finished the day with Book Time. Super job today, everyone!
