• 2019.10.03Today’s Class 4

  

  Today was a great day in Class 4. At first we had outside play with Class 5 and 7. After exercise we recieved some new challenges from Mr.Halloween! Everyone did a good job completing his Haunted House game to get two more power stickers. The children did very well learning new songs during the Morning Meeting and had a great time drawing pictures of all the sea animals they saw at Otaru Aquarium. We also got the chance to talk about Hyogen Festival through a puppet show and the children could think about what characters they wanted to be. Lunch was enjoyed by all as it was curry and rice and we had Hiragana time after lunch followed by a Goodbye Meeting. All the children are looking forward to learning more about Halloween and China tomorrow.

• 2019.10.02小樽水族館遠足

  

  お天気に恵まれ、真っ青なきれいな空に太陽がキラキラ輝いていた本日、全学年で小樽水族館へ行ってきました。何日も前から、「小樽水族館へ行くの楽しみだな！」「イルカショー早く見たいな！」と言っていたお子さま達。水族館へ着いてすぐにまずはカメに挨拶をし、どんどん水族館の中へ進みました。大きなタコ、キレイな魚たち、元気なカワウソ。水槽を見るたびに「キレイ！」「すごい！」と子どもたちの歓声が上がっていましたよ。そして、外でお弁当を食べた後は、お楽しみのイルカショー。笛の合図でジャンプをしたり、回転をするイルカに大喜びでした。年長組はその後、アザラシショー、トドショー、セイウチなどもゆっくりと見て、「セイウチってすごく大きいね。」「でも後ろにちゃんとひれがあるね」などと観察をしていました。少し暑い日でしたが、たくさんの海を生物をみて大満足だったお子さま達。明日はクレヨンや絵の具で今日見てきた魚たちを描く予定です。どんな作品ができあがるか楽しみにしています。

• 2019.10.01Today’s Class3

  

  今日も元気に登園してきた3組のお子さま達。年少組みんなで行う体操・カーミングの後は、クラスに戻ってMorning Meeting。先月から始まったお当番活動では、カードに書かれた名前をチェックして自分の順番を心待ちにしているお子さま達です。そんな今日はEnglish Lessonがありました。明日の水族館遠足がさらに楽しみになるようなLessonでは、たくさんのSea Animalsが登場し、「水族館にもいるかな？」「早くイルカに会いたいな！」などという声があちらこちらから聞こえていましたよ。今日から10月。HalloweenやArt Month、Hyogen Festivalに向けての活動とたくさんの楽しいことが盛りだくさんのようです。風邪などひかないように気を付けて、みんな揃って楽しむことができるといいですね。まずは明日の遠足！幼稚園でみんなのことを待っていますよ。元気に来てね☆

• 2019.09.30September’s Birthday Party

  

  Today was the September Birthday party here at IYK and we celebrated the birthday’s of 17 friends this month! Everyone did a fantastic job saying their names and ages in nice, clear and loud voices. We were then visited by a Grandfather, looking to harvest his vegetables in his big vegetable garden. With the help of grandmother, a dog, a monkey and a wolf, they were able to “Heave, Ho” out the giant vegetables together before they were made into a birthday cake for the grandfather. Well done everyone and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of the September birthday children.

• 2019.09.26防災避難訓練③ ～地震～ / Today’s ICEC

  

  今日は3回目の防災避難訓練を行いました。地震の時に大事なのは、必ず揺れが止まってから行動するということ。「お・は・し・も」の約束に加え、「い→移動する、か→体を守る。あ→慌てない、し→知らせる」の約束があることを知ったお子さま達。一人ひとりに分かりやすく伝え、教師がいつどんな場合でも対応できるように連携し訓練することで、お子さま達を安全に守ることができるよう、これからも努めていきたいと思います。

  Today’s International Cultural Exchange Club was held in Odori Park. It was a beautiful day, and we were lucky enough to find a picnic table that everyone could sit at. Today’s topic was talking to foreigners, and we examined both natural and unnatural questions that are often asked. There are so many international events happening and coming up, and it is no longer rare to see people from all over the world walking through the city. Mr. Ian and Mr. Chris lead some conversations about how best to approach people who may need help, as well as getting everyone to talk about their own experiences overseas communicating in English. It was very thought provoking and interesting to hear the different ideas of how to talk about different topics, as well as hear some different cultural points of view. The time went by very fast. We would like to say thank you to everyone who participated today. We hope to see you at the next ICEC!

• 2019.09.25Today’s Class 2

  

  今日は、朝から１組と一緒に滑り台や平均台、マットのお山をつくって楽しみました。朝の遊び時間が終わると２組みんなでゲームタイム！最近は、イス取りゲームが大好きで、毎日のように行っています。最初はなかなかルールが分からないお子さま達でしたが、少しずつ慣れてきて「真ん中は入っちゃいけない場所だよ！」「今のは、ジャンケンじゃない？」など、友達同士でルールを教え合ったり、確認する姿が見られるようになってきました。そして、今日は久しぶりのExercise Time! Physical Festivalの練習の間は違う体操をしていたので、久しぶりの懐かしい体操です。１組、３組と一緒に元気に体操をしました。“Wednesday！”という楽しいEnglishのダンスもしましたよ。その後は、クラスで楽しかったPhysical Festivalの思い出の絵を描きました。玉入れや“Under the Sea”のダンスなど思い思いにクレヨンで描くことを楽しんだ２組さん。半日教育の幼稚園はあっという間に終了し、「また、明日ねー！」と笑顔で手を振って帰っていきました。

• 2019.09.22Physical Festival

  

  今日は、ツインキャップでPhysical Festivalが行われました。８月からリレーやダンスなど様々な活動に取り組み、みんな今日の日を楽しみにしていました。年少組は、初めてのPhysical Festivalです。初めての開会式、初めてのかけっこ、そして初めてのダンス。大好きな家族の方達に応援されながら一生懸命に、そして楽しみながら参加することができました。年中組は２回目のPhysical Festivalです。３クラスでのダンスでは、少し難しい振り付けにも挑戦しました。勝敗にもこだわり、玉入れでは自分達も頑張りながら、年少組を一生懸命に応援する姿も見られました。年長組は、幼稚園生活最後のPhysical Festivalです。元気いっぱいのチアダンスでオープニングを飾ってくれました。旗のダンスでは、６色の色に分かれ、グループごとに見事な隊形移動も披露してくれました。リレーでは、観客席からも園児席からも大きな声援が飛び交う中、それぞれのチームが力を振り絞って走り、バトンをつなぎました。最後のプログラムは全園児でのダンス“応援いっぱいありがとう”です。温かい声援を送ってくれたお客様に、ありがとうの気持ちを込めて踊りました。そして、いよいよ閉会式ではドキドキの結果発表！今年度は、White Angelsが優勝、Red Starsが準優勝でした。どちらのチームのお子さま達も、今日は今までの練習の成果を十分に発揮することができましたね。明日、明後日とゆっくり休んで、２５日にまた元気に幼稚園に登園してきて下さい！本日ご来場いただいた皆様、たくさんの温かいご声援をありがとうございました。

• 2019.09.20Today’s Koala Class

  

  Today in Koala Class we had lots of fun from the beginning until it was time to go home. The children enjoyed playing together and are getting better at morning meetings and sticker book time. Today’s English lesson was fun since the children could help feed our friend, Caterpillar. He was hungry so they helped feed him “riceballs”. We gave him a small one and then a big one. The children did well passing the big riceball and giving it to Caterpillar. He was happy and got bigger. We danced and then had yummy lunchboxes together. Good job everyone and see you Sunday at Physical Festival!

• 2019.09.19Today’s Class 1

  

  Class 1 had a very fun day today. Everyone had a good time during Discovery Time with Class 2, and then after we cleaned up it was time for Morning Meeting. This week we started Teacher’s Assistants, and already the children are doing well leading their friends throughout the day. It was raining today, so we stayed inside to practice dancing and exercising for the Physical Festival. We also did some work in our line writing books. The children practiced holding their pencils correctly and drawing circles. After lunch, the children had fun pretending to drink mixed juice that they had made by cutting paper into small squares. It was delicious!

• 2019.09.18Today’s Rabbit Class

  

  今日も元気いっぱいに登園するとすぐにお気に入りのおもちゃで遊び始めたラビットクラスのお子様たち。登園すると自分のカバンをバスケットに入れたり、スモックをカバンから出してハンガーにかけたり、自分で素早くできるようになってきました。のりを使った製作「きのこ」も先生のお話をしっかり聞いて丁寧にのりを塗ってとてもカラフルなきのこが出来上がりました。ランチの支度もとても早くなり、今日も「おいしいね」「みてみて！ぴかぴかになったよ！」と空っぽのお弁当箱を嬉しそうに見せる様子がとてもかわいらしかったです。ランチの後にはおなかをすかせたお化けが遊びに来てみんなでキャンディーのカラーボールを食べさせて仲よく遊びました。運動会のダンスも楽しく踊り、盛りだくさんな一日になりました。明日もかわいいラビットクラスさんに会えることを楽しみにしています！
