We had a very fun Birthday Party today! There were a total of sixteen birthday friends, and everyone did a great job saying their names and ages. The birthday friends received a present from a friend in their class too. For this month’s Birthday Party play, we had a very special guest come to IYK! The children have been tracking Santa as he traveled around the world this month. Everyone learned about Christmas traditions from the countries that Santa visited on his way to IYK. Each class made an ornament from a certain country. In the play, the elves appeared first, worried that Santa was lost in the terrible blizzard. However, because IYK friends brought their ornaments and decorated the Christmas trees as requested by Santa, he was able to find IYK. The children were so happy to see Santa and also receive presents from him. Last of all, everyone got to dance to Santa’s favorite song: “Jingle Bells”!
