• 2015.04.27Today’s Class 7!

  

  Today in Class 7 we fit a lot of fun into a short day! After a morning meeting with Class 4, we talked about the changes that occur between winter and spring. After talking about the changes, we laced up our outside shoes and headed over to Kitakaze Park to see for ourselves. We saw many signs of spring such as green grass, flowers, ants, leaves and butterflies. After a fun adventure around the park, we headed back and hoisted up the Koinobori windsock that all the children had put their hand print on. As soon as it was raised, the wind took it and it looked like it was swimming!

• 2015.04.24Today’s Class 6!

  

  　 元気いっぱい、楽しいことが大好きなClass 6のお子さま達。今日は、昨日みんなで模様を描いた紙に目を付けたり、ウロコを付けたりするなどし、オリジナルのこいのぼりをつくりました。一人ひとりのお子さまの個性がきらりと光る素敵な作品ができあがりましたよ。また、みんなの大好きなリトミック遊びでは、「クマがでたぞ～！」の掛け声に素早く寝たふりをして、動かないように一生懸命に頑張る17名のお友だち。真剣に寝たふりをする姿は何とも可愛らしく、何度もクマを出現させてしまいました。先日、くじ引きで決めた4つのチームに分かれて座り、お母さまのつくってくださったお弁当を「見て見て！」と友達や教師に見せながら楽しいランチタイムを過ごした後は、お子さま達が楽しみにしてたMusic Lesson。初めてのピアノに大喜びで、Lessonから戻ると、「あのね！」「ぼくね…！」と楽しかった思いを早く話したくて仕方のない様子で、教師に教えてくれました。お帰りの時に明日と明後日はお休みだね・・・。と少ししょんぼり話すと、「また、月曜日に元気に来るから！」と笑顔で教師を励ましてくれたお子さま達。月曜日、みんなに会えるのを楽しみにしていますよ。元気いっぱいに登園してきて下さいね！！

• 2015.04.23April Birthday Party

  

  Today we had the birthday party for the children born in April. It was a fantastic day packed with fun for all the school. Everyone assembled in the first floor area and then the fun began. The birthday kids came in and told the whole school their name and age in nice big voices. Then they received their presents from their friends. We then had a visit from Dr. Time, who came to IYK to help some of the children with school rules by stopping time! All the children in the audience were able to help him get the big kids back on track! After the play, we had our first musical instrument introduction of the year. We learned about castanets, jingle bells, and tambourines. After a super yummy lunch, the afternoon flew by! What a great day!

• 2015.04.22キッズワールド～英語であそぼう～

  

  　今日は、キッズワールドのイベント『英語であそぼう』が行われました。今月は「Spring」をテーマにMr.Tomが遊びに来てくれましたよ。始めにEnglish song に合わせてダンスをしたり、Mr.Tomに続いて手拍子をしたりとリズム遊びをした後は、「Spring」にちなんだ写真を見て名前あてクイズ☆お子さま達は、桜は「cherry blossoms」、てんとう虫は「lady bug」、スズメは「sparrows」、チューリップは「tulips」の４つのワードを、何度も元気よく繰り返すうちにあっという間に覚えたようで、次に４つのワードを使ったゲームが始まると、「cherry blossomsはこっちだよ！」と夢中になって参加していましたよ。最後は「うさぎとかめ」のEnglish bookの時間です。「このお話知ってる～」「うさぎさん寝てるから負けちゃうんだよね」とストーリーに入り込んでいるようでした。お子様たちは、外国籍の先生のことが大好きで、英語であそぼうの時間をとても楽しみにしています。今日も最初から最後まで笑いの絶えない楽しいイベントの時間になりました。

• 2015.04.21Today’s Class 5

  

  今日も５組さんの可愛いお友だちは、朝から元気いっぱいに登園してきてくれました。発見活動では１階でも２階の４組さんのお部屋でもたくさん遊ぶ姿が見られましたよ！そして、今日は楽しみにしていたNature Discovery！年中組のお友だちのところに遊びに来てくれた小鳥さんと一緒に”春のもの”を思い浮かべて、「お花を見つけたよ！」「虫さんが歩いていたよ！」とお話をしてくれました。その後は、美味しいWorld lunch！おかわりもいっぱいして、お腹いっぱいになった後は、一生懸命に文字のプリントに取り組む５組さんでした。明日も元気いっぱいの５組さんに会えるのを楽しみにしています！

• 2015.04.20ラビットクラス　開室式

  

  　今日は、ラビットクラスの開室式でした。先生たちは、ラビットクラスのお友だちに会える日を、とっても楽しみにしていました。これから1年間、めぐみ先生とMr.Shayと一緒に元気いっぱい遊びましょうね。今日はステッカーブックにシールを貼ったり、English Lessonでは、”I’m happy!”と恥ずかしがりながらも元気にタンバリンを鳴らすお友だちがたくさんいましたね。Music Lessonでは『あくしゅしてよお母さん』のお歌を、お母さまと一緒に上手に踊ってうたえましたね♪とっても素敵な笑顔を見せてくれたラビットクラスのお友だちでした。明後日（22日）水曜日はラビットクラスはお休みです。　次回は木曜日、Mr.ShayのEnglish Lessonを、また皆さんと楽しみたいと思います。また、元気に幼稚園に来てくださいね。待ってます♪　

• 2015.04.17Koala Class Opening Ceremony

  

  The Opening Ceremony for the Koala Class was today and I’d like to welcome everyone to International Yamanote Kindergarten. It was so nice to meet all the new children and their parents. I was so impressed by the children as it was their first day and every classroom experience was new for them. Everyone had fun playing with toys together, having our morning meeting, and participating in our English lesson. The children learned to say “I’m happy,” and we even danced to the song “If You’re Happy and You Know It”. It was a great theme since I was so happy to see all the happy children. The start to Koala Class and to the children’s time at IYK went so nicely. I look forward to the next lesson and the coming year. Let’s enjoy it and have a lot of fun!

• 2015.04.16Today’s Class 4

  

  Today in Class 4 was so much fun. After playtime in Class 4 we went downstairs and had a big Morning Meeting with classes 8, 7, and 5. We learnt about school rules. After that we went back to Class 4 and had our own Morning Meeting. Next because they have been doing so well the Class 4 children got presents! Everyone got a new sketchbook. We enjoyed drawing colourful big pictures in them. After colouring we had song time. We all sang London Bridge with big voices! After that we enjoyed a book. The children really enjoyed following the fun story. Finally we had our Goodbye Meeting and went home. It was a great day! Tomorrow is our final day of the week and it will be fun too!

• 2015.04.15Today’s Class 3♪

  

  今日の3組さんには、園長先生からのプレゼントが届きました。毎日届く園長先生からのプレゼントを楽しみにしている3組さん。プレゼントを見つけると、「何が入っているかな？」と期待に胸を膨らませていました。今日のプレゼントは、自由画帳。表紙の可愛い動物を見て、「かわいい！」と大喜びでした。自由画帳には、好きな色のクレヨンでぐるぐる丸を描いたり、「おいしそうでしょ！」と教師に見せながらアイスやキャンディを描いて楽しんでいました。明日もプレゼントが届くことが分かると、「明日は何かな？」と楽しみにする様子も見られましたよ！自由画帳でたくさん遊んだ後は、ランチを美味しく食べ、元気にバスに乗って帰って行った3組さん。少しずつ幼稚園に慣れ、笑顔がたくさん見られるようになってきました。明日も先生やお友だちに会えるのを楽しみにしていてくださいね！

• 2015.04.14Today’s Class2

  

  今日も元気いっぱい、ニコニコ笑顔で幼稚園に来てくれた２組さんのお友だち。朝の発見活動では、Mr.Johnnyと一緒におままごとをしたり、ブロックで海の生き物をつくって『海のダンスパーティーごっこ』を楽しんでいるお友だちもいました。朝の歌も素敵な声でうたうことができるようになり、Englishのごあいさつやお返事も上手になりましたね。今日はリボンのついた大きな袋に入ったプレゼントがお部屋に届き、開けてみると…中からクレヨンが出てきました！好きな色のクレヨンを見つけて、画用紙いっぱいにクレヨンのかけっこを楽しみました☆明日はどんなプレゼントが届くのかな～？今から楽しみですね♪また明日、２くみさんのお友だちと会えることを楽しみにしていますよ！元気なお顔をみせてね☆
