• 2015.03.12Farewell Party

  

  今日はFarewell Partyがありました。もうすぐ卒園する年長組さんのために、各クラスでプレゼントをつくったり歌を練習したりし、お子さま達はこの日をとても楽しみにしていました♪今日は、１階の部屋に年少・年中組さんが集まり、拍手をして年長組さんを迎えました。さすが年長組さん、背筋を伸ばして格好よく入場してきましたよ！初めにメモリアルビデオをみんなで見ました。小さい頃の写真を見て、友達と「かわいい！」「小さいね！」などと話し、盛り上がりました♪そして年少・年中組さんから言葉を贈り、「思い出のアルバム」の歌をうたいました。年長組さんからも言葉と歌のプレゼントがありました！その後は、早コース、イマージョン、遅コースに分かれて交流会をしました。それぞれのコースでゲームをしたり、年少・年中組で協力してつくったプレゼントを渡したりしましたよ。年長組さんとたくさん触れ合い、絆が深まった一日でした。

• 2015.03.11Rabbit Closing Ceremony

  

  　今日はラビットクラスの修了式がありました。Morning　MeetingからEnglish　Lessonまでの様子をお父さま、お母さまに見ていただきました。ちょっぴり恥ずかしくなってしまったお友だちもいましたが素敵な姿を見ていただくことができましたね。この１年でたくさんの経験をし、心も身体も大きく成長したみなさんと一緒にこの日を迎えられたことを嬉しく思っています。ご父母様には、いつも温かく見守り、支えてくださったことに感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。ありがとうございました。Music、English、Swimming、どんなことにも一生懸命取り組むことができるラビットクラスのみなさん、これからも色々なことにどんどんチャレンジして、もっともっと素敵に変身してほしいと思います。先生たちはいつまでも、みなさんの成長を応援しています。一年間、輝く笑顔でたくさんの幸せをラビットクラスに届けてくれてありがとう。クラスは離れても、ずっと仲間だよ。　修了おめでとうございます。

• 2015.03.10Today’s Class 4

  

  Today Class 4 had a super fun day! After an energetic morning meeting with Class 5, 7, and 8, we were able to so some English writing practice. Everyone’s handwriting is getting really nice! Today was also World Lunch, and it was Japan. All the children enjoyed the yummy lunch and some much deserved Discovery Time. We rounded out the day with a new story book. After singing the goodbye song, we all said goodbye for the day! See you tomorrow Class 4!

• 2015.03.09March Birthday Party

  

  Today was the March birthday party. Before the party some of the children received certificates for their impressive artwork. During the birthday party the children were introduced to a boy who could not do an English puzzle and started to dislike English games. English puzzle man came to save the day and remind the young boy that English is fun through the use of his magic screen. English puzzle man and the children were able to bring down the screen and watch an entertaining English video with animals, fruits and songs. The boy began to remember the joy of English and tried to complete the English puzzle again. The boy was able to complete the puzzle with the help of the children and the word happy was revealed to the children.

• 2015.03.07Pri Pri Club 2

  

  Pri Pri Club 2 was held today at IYK. It was a rounding success for all the children. They started the day with some free play with the teachers. Once it was time to start, they were all big little boys and girls who sang and danced together. The children seemed taken up in the story of the play and really got excited about making their tambourines. Like big children they made wonderful instruments in their groups and all rushed back to play them together. They practiced and then enjoyed playing their instruments together to music in a big toy party. It was a great day for all involved.

  今日は第2回Pri Priクラブでした。お子さま達は、先生たちと活動に参加しました。中には大好きなお父さまやお母さまと離れることに不安な表情を見せることもありましたが、先生たちの楽しい劇が始まると、すぐに劇の世界に入り込み、「わぁ～!!」と声をあげたり、拍手をするなど、おもちゃ箱からおもちゃに扮した教師が登場する様子を喜ぶ可愛らしい姿が見られていました。また、製作活動の時間にはいい音の出るタンバリンになるように様々な色のペンを使って沢山の絵を描いたり、スティッカーをはって素敵なタンバリンを完成させることができました。最後は、おもちゃのチャチャチャに合わせてみんなで完成したタンバリンを鳴らし、大満足の様子のお子さま達でした。ＩＹＫの先生たちは4月にまた、みんなに会えることを楽しみにしていますね☆早くまたみんなと遊びたいな～♪

• 2015.03.06Junior Class Let’s Challenge & March ICEC

  

  今日は年少組のLet’s Challengeでした！数日前にChallenge parkから招待状と入場チケットが届き、お子さま達は「今日Challenge parkに行くんだよね！」「何があるのかな？」と、朝からとても楽しみにしていました♪初めに、Challenge parkには２つのChallengeがあることを伝えると、「知りたい！知りたい！」と意欲満々な年少さん。一つめのChallengeでは、ペアの友達と協力しながら数字を並び替えたり、イラストを見てひらがなカードを組み合わせていました！そして２つめの、教師と同じように積み木や図形カードを組み合わせるChallengeでは、「こっちかな？」「なにか違うよ！」と言いながら、友達と一緒に楽しみながら取り組んでいました♪２つのChallengeをクリアした年少さんは、「できたー！」「もっとできるよ！」などと自信をもって言っていました。
  Today for March’s ICEC we had a good old-fashioned potluck! Everyone brought something to eat, and it was great! We were able to talk about many different topics, from movies, to musical instruments, and even childcare. We hope to see a lot of fresh faces when ICEC resumes next year. Many thanks to those who were able to attend.

• 2015.03.05Let’s Challenge! ~ Intermediate

  

  今日は年中組のLet’s Challenge！を行いました。今年一年のまとめとして、ミスターＸからの挑戦にチャレンジした年中組さん。いつも難しい問題を出し、意地悪をしてきたミスターＸでしたが、今回は問題が解けたらすてきなプレゼントをくれると約束してくれました。しりとりの穴埋め問題と、ミスターＸが大好きなドーナツの数を数える問題の２つに挑戦しました。かずの問題では、１０のかたまりを意識して大きなかずを数えることができました。この一年で、たくさんもじやかずに触れてきた年中組のお子さま達。最後はミスターＸから進級の記念カードの材料をプレゼントしてもらい、大喜びでした。すっかりミスターＸと仲良しになった年中組さん。「年長になっても頑張ってね！」とミスターＸに励まされ、期待を高めていましたよ。今日のランチはもうすぐ卒園する9組さんのリクエストランチ！鶏五目うどん、大学いも、いちご、牛乳でした。大人気のメニューにみんな大喜びで食べ、お友だちと「美味しいね。」と喜んで食べるお子さま達の笑顔が印象的でした。

• 2015.03.04Today’s Class 2

  

  今日の２組は、５組・８組のお兄さんお姉さんと一緒の遊び時間からスタート。一緒に折り紙をしたり、フープで汽車ごっこをして遊びました。縄跳びにチャレンジしているお友だちもいました。その後は、Music Lessonです。今年度も残りわずかなので、好きな楽器を選んで音楽に合わせて自由に鳴らしていいことを知ると「やったー」と大喜び。自分だけのオリジナルのリズム打ちを、思う存分に楽しみました。もちろん大好きなハンドベルもしました！　クラスの活動は「大きくなった自分をつくろう！」ということで、好きな色の画用紙を選んでのりで貼り、服に模様を描いたり周りにお花を描いたりしていました。そして、今日は大好きなお母さまの手作りお弁当の日。「美味しい！」と言いながらあっという間に食べました！　

• 2015.03.03Today’s Class 3

  

  今日の3組さんは、大好きなSwimmingに行ってきました。今日は年少で行う最後のSwimming。水の中に潜ったり、ジャンプしたり、バタ足で進んだりと、今まで頑張ってきたことを見せることができ、終わった後には「楽しかった!」という声が聞こえてきました。Swimmingを楽しんだ後は、美味しい給食の時間。8組のお友達がリクエストした、ナンやカレーを喜んで食べていましたよ！給食の後は、友達と絵を描いたり、遊具で思い切り遊んでいました。今日は楽しみにしていたひな祭り。お家に帰ってから、ケーキを食べたり、ちらしずしを作ることを心待ちにして帰って行った3組さんでした。また明日、元気に幼稚園に来てくれるのを楽しみにしていますよ！

• 2015.03.02Immersion Switch Day

  

  For Class 1 and Class 7 we had switch day. Mr Tom went to Class 1 and Mr Chris went to Class 7. In Class after the morning meeting we had an English Activity. First children had to name the countries of different flags. Next they all got balls and had to put them in the right flag boxes. The children did great and it was a lot of fun. After English we had craft time. First children decorated wallets, which they will use for a Junior shopping activity next week. After that they made the birthday present craft. Finally we all enjoyed a yummy lunch and playtime together. Thank you for a great day Class 1! Mr Tom

  The Class 7 children had a super fun day today. After our Immersion playtime and exercise it was time for this month’s origami craft. Mr. Johnny helped explain to the children how to fold their paper and everyone did a great job following his instructions. Today’s lunch was very special as it was chosen by the children of Class 7, so it was no surprise that everyone wanted to eat more and more. Switch Day is a great opportunity for the teachers and children to have lots of fun communicating and playing together. Great job Class 7. Mr. Chris
